Refunds & Returns Policy
Whip It Up Cake Supplies
IN-STORE RETURNS
We gladly accept returns on items that are faulty, defective, or not as described in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. If your item is found to be defective, we will offer a replacement, full refund, or store credit.
We do not offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases, but we are happy to offer a store credit provided that:
- The item is unused, unopened, and in original packaging
- It is returned within 30 days of purchase
- It is not a food-based product
Please note: Due to strict health regulations, we cannot accept returns on food-based items for change of mind — even if unopened.
This includes, but is not limited to: Fondant, buttercream, frosting, cake mixes, chocolate, chocolate drips, sprinkles, food colourings, edible paints, edible icing sheets, shortening, truffle ganache, ganache, cake lace mix, gumpaste, and edible printer cartridges.
Returns on specially ordered items are not accepted unless previously arranged with management.
ONLINE RETURNS
To initiate an online return, please email gina@whipitupcakesupplies.com.au with your order number and the reason for the return. Wait for return instructions before sending anything back.
Change of Mind (Non-Food Items)
- Store credit or refund available (at our discretion)
- Items must be unused, undamaged, and in original packaging
- Return postage is the customer’s responsibility
- Shipping charges are not refunded, and the original subsidised postage cost may be deducted from the refund/credit
Food-based items are non-returnable unless faulty (as per in-store policy above).
Faulty or Damaged Goods
- Please notify us within 24 hours of receiving your parcel
- Include photos and a description before removing packaging

REDUCED TO CLEAR / SHORT-DATED PRODUCTS
These items are sold “as-is” and are non-returnable, unless they arrive faulty and the defect was not the reason for markdown.
WARRANTY RETURNS
Warranty claims must be returned to Whip It Up Cake Supplies for assessment. Return postage is at the customer’s cost. If the item is found to be faulty, we will repair, replace, or refund and cover the return shipping.
Please contact us before returning any items under warranty.
RETURNED PARCELS (Australia Post & Click & Collect)
If your parcel is returned due to:
- Incorrect or incomplete address
- Not collected from the post office
You will be required to cover:
- Re-shipping at full postage rate (not flat rate)
- Return-to-sender fee charged by Australia Post:
- Regular: $11.50
- Express: $25.00
Do not mark parcels as 'Return to Sender' without approval, or these fees will be deducted from your refund/credit.
REFUNDS & RESTOCKING FEES
Refunds are processed via the original payment method within 5 business days.
If a refund is requested (instead of store credit), the following fees apply:
