INSTRUCTIONS:
Sift 1kg pure icing sugar into 500gms Whisk n Go, beat together until smooth.
Add 4 Tablespoons Boiling water (approx). If using flavour, you can omit the boiling water.
Add colour as required (once mixed product is pure white) then beat until smooth for approx 3-4 minutes.
FLAVOURING:
Mix ingredients as per instructions then add approx 250g melted chocolate to flavour and colour the whisk n go to create a chocolate buttercream. If using melted chocolate, there is not need to add flavour.
Making buttercream with vegetable shortening results in a smooth, stable frosting that holds up well in warm temperatures. Here’s a simple recipe for a classic shortening-based buttercream:

Beat the Shortening: In a mixing bowl, beat the vegetable shortening with a hand or stand mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy (about 2 minutes).

Add Sugar: Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing on low speed to prevent a sugar cloud. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.

Use or Store: Use immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to a week and can be frozen. Re-whip before using.
This buttercream is perfect for decorating cakes, cupcakes, and cookies, offering a stable texture and a neutral flavor that pairs well with various extracts or food colorings.
