MAKING BREAD IN OVEN
- Place bread mix and yeast into a bowl fitted with a hook attachment and mix for 30 seconds to incorporate on low speed.
- Start slowly adding the water until the dough is formed
- Continue mixing on low speed for 3 minutes ensuring the consistency is neither to wet nor dry
- Increase the mixer speed (if possible) to medium and mix the dough for a further 10 minutes, if mixer cannot be increased allow for a slightly longer mixing time.
- Once the dough is fully formed and well developed remove from the bowl
- Place the dough on a well-floured surface and roll into a ball and cover with a moist tea towel
- Allow the dough to test for 10 minutes
- Cut the dough into desired size pieces and roll in balls, cover and rest for a further 10 minutes
- Take the dough pieces and shape them into the tins or trays (ensure tins are greased)
- Cover and allow the dough to rise for approximately 40 minutes or until 1/3 of its original size
- Place the dough into a pre heated oven set at 220 degrees Celsius and bake for 40 minutes or until well baked.
- Remove from oven and place onto a rack to cool.
USING BREAD MIX IN A BREAD MAKER
Place yeast first, flour then water and set to desired settings.
